Abundance in the Unexpected: A note on shifting plans
When Dr. Kate and I envisioned Radiant Summer, we imagined a full day overflowing with connection, reflection, and joy — the kind of experience that fills you up in all the right ways. We crafted every detail with care: nourishing meals, immersive workshops, space for laughter, space for stillness. We believed deeply in what we were offering.
And we still do.
But sometimes, abundance doesn’t look the way we expect.
After weeks of putting our hearts into planning, we noticed that something wasn’t landing. Despite thoughtful outreach and the generous support of our community, registration for the full-day retreat didn’t unfold the way we’d hoped.
This wasn’t easy to sit with. As psychologists, we know how quickly the mind can whisper: “You failed.” But the truth is — this isn’t failure. This is feedback.
And feedback is a gift.
As we sat with that gift, we also sat with the broader context unfolding around us. Our province has been moving through a season of disruption — wildfires, evacuations, uncertainty. And with June 21 falling on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we felt called to pause. This day deserves reverence, not redirection. Indigenous communities have been disproportionately affected by the wildfires, and we want to hold that reality with the respect it deserves.
So, we’re shifting. Gracefully, wholeheartedly, and with deep trust in the bigger picture.
We’ve decided to postpone the June 21 retreat. This decision wasn’t made lightly — it was made with integrity and alignment. We refuse to push something that doesn’t feel like a full yes, for us or for you.
Sometimes abundance looks like a radiant, “Yes!” And sometimes, it looks like a conscious pause — a choice to clear space so what’s next can truly bloom.
So, we’re channeling our energy into what is asking to grow:
🌸 Our half-day retreat, Summer Spark, on June 29 at Miss Millie’s Flower Farm, is still on — and it’s shaping up to be something truly magical. Think sunshine, wildflowers, creativity, and conversations that leave you lighter. You can learn more and register here.
🌱 We’re also listening carefully to what you’re telling us about what you need. Shorter retreats. More casual connection spaces. These ideas are taking root — and you’ll see new offerings blossoming in the months ahead.
Abundance isn’t about more. It’s about enough. It’s about choosing alignment over hustle. It’s about trusting that the right people, timing, and energy will always meet you when you’re honest with yourself.
So thank you for being part of this journey — especially the messy, real, recalibrating parts. We are so grateful to walk this path with you.
With Warmth,
Dr. Jacquie
